Thankful Thursday

Good morning~

Here are 13 things for which I am thankful:

1. A fun visit with my parents last week
2. For my mom who spent about four hours "foundations" shopping with me. Not the kind you wear on your face...Uggh!
3. Pam and Mani were CHOSEN to be the parents to a beautiful little boy in Korea. Baby Garrett should be home in three to five months. Yea!!!
4. Lindy takes great pleasure in little things like acorns
5. Watching Lindy become the great pretender
6. My grandparents who celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary this week
7. My friend Melissa who celebrated her birthday this week
8. A call of encouragement from Diana to tell me she'll be with me for the long wait that hasn't even really started yet
9. Ben Bailey who celebrates his birthday on Sunday
10.The comforting chirp of the cardinal
11. Freshly steam cleaned carpets
12. The power of a smile
13. My electric skillet

Life is filled with many things to be thankful for. What are you thankful for today?

Oh, what are you cooking in that skillet? Any good recipes to share? I am thankful to have "met" you.

I must say, I love the freshly steamed carpets - looove that! in fact we have the steamer on the porch rarin' to go, but have not found the right time in the past 8 (yes, 8) weeks to actually run it. I think you just inspired me.

Have a great weekend.

Lisa - We did clean the carpet! Yippee. And I meant to mention, your grandparents anniversary - Congrats, what an amazing milestone. Yes, that is something to be thankful for.

I'm secretly checkin' out this blogger thing and...POW! Lisa says she's thankful for me having a birthday. Man oh Man I love you Lisa. Thanks for the "Roosters" gift card. I know it's an upscale place for men to get a sweet hair cut, but what will they do when I whip off my shirt, point to my back and say..."Can you give me a nice fade on this?"

Love the last one...the electric skillet! :) I do hope you start posting your menus. You are right about it keeping you accountable. My husband checks the blog everyday at work to see what we are having for supper! Heaven forbid if I change something. :)
