Peeking out momentarily

How can it be that we're two weeks into the new year and I haven't blogged or visited my blog friends? Time really flies by and I thought I'd surface with a post and then will subsequently work on a post for Lindy's blog.

So, a la David Letterman, I'm producing a top 10 list of what I've been doing instead of blogging:

10. Hanging out in granite yards
9. Blow drying my new, "easier"--ha!, shorter hairdo so that it doesn't look all kinky, wavy
8. Catching up on the Netflix movies that we'd had checked out since fall
7. Cleaning out emails and removing my name off of lists I've landed on somehow
6. Washing, dividing, repackaging the raw chicken breasts that were on sale for $1.99 a pound
5. Using my new little stair stepper thingamajig. Don says I already look like the girl on the box. Right...
4. Wondering why Picasa 3, the photo editor I use, crashes at least three times every time I sit down to use it
3. Playing princess
2. Catching up with old friends on Facebook
1. Feeling overwhelmed, terribly inefficient, and unproductive

So, how about you? What have you been up to? No matter what, I hope you are off to a good year and that you find lots of exciting things on the horizon.

So good to hear from you...I wondered where you have been!!

Sounds like you are busy.....it is amazing how the holidays come and go and before you know it you look at the calendar and realize that half of January has gone by....it happens to me every year!!

Hope 2009 brings you all health and happiness:)

Good to see a post from you. I've not been up on my blog so much either. Feel like I can't keep up with anything, same old story.
I have heard that about Picasa so much lately (be careful because some people have lost lots of stuff on there). I used to use and it is a good editing program.
I'm dreaming along with you that I am redoing a kitchen ;-)

My big thing for the NY was to stop lurking on blogs and to comment..so far so good. Some respond back and some I probably scare off LOL

It's good to hear from you : )

It's good to hear from you, Lisa! I hope you all had a nice Christmas. I like your Top Ten list. Gives me peek into what you've been up to. :) I've been more or less hibernating this January. I always knew I was a homebody....
Love,
Ginny

Maybe I should comment on each #.
10. So how is the kitchen coming?? I cannot wait to see it!
9.Your hair looks totally cute! Your dryer is doing you proud.
8. What movies did you watch?
7. I hate those emails.
6.Where did you find chicken so cheap?
5.Stair stepper thingy...what happened to the infamous Nordic Track? I so need to join you on this one...I was on the treadmill the first week of Jan.- and now we are all sick and that is my excuse.
4. Software frustrates me at times too. Technology is supposed to make life easier, but it tends to raise my blood pressure.
3. So fun and girlie
2.You are a good FB friend...I don't get on there enough. I think it is taking over the blogging.
1. ditto, girlfriend

Let's get together soon! I miss you...we need to catch up!

Ditto on overwhelmed, inefficient & unproductive. Add completely not motivated, and you now have the new slogan for January! Take heart that it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with the way we deal with holiday stress. I'm hoping to turn the corner in February.

Good work on the exercise! I've been trying but am so frustrated that the scale won't throw me a bone! I think I should lose a lb every time I put on a sportsbra!

Hi, Lisa. Thank you for the note on Facebook. I tried sending a comment back but my computer kept freezing up on me. I am completely new to Facebook so I am still trying to figure it out. Hope things are going well for all of you!
