The Long Road to China. This past weekend, I snapped a few pictures of
Lindy running around in the yard before we went out for dinner. I got a few I liked but I thought this one was a really lovely shot of her because I caught her being still (which is rare for her) and just enjoying looking around in a really natural, unposed way.
I find it challenging to get natural shots of the Lindy
I see and love because when the camera comes out she either hams it up or looks like a candidate from America's Most Wanted--not an uncommon challenge and frustration for those photographing kids.

Something about that picture reminds me of Natalie Wood in the movie version of Westside Story.

I even spotted the sweet wisp of a curl peeking out on the other side of her beautiful face & radiant smile!
It IS hard to capture them spontaneously sometimes....but you sure did it & did it well!!

I face the same struggle as you in getting Lily to stay still and not make faces for the camera. I find it best to take pictures when she's busy doing something else!

Gorgeous my friend:) I think this is a really beautiful shot of Lindy.....LOL, it is very rare that they are still.... I have to be as quick as lightening to catch Sarah on most days!!
