Today I am thankful for my dad.
Yesterday my dad called me out of the blue to talk. A lot of dads don't really talk to their kids. That doesn't mean they don't have a good, solid relationship with their kids. It just is something I've witnessed time and time again.
I am thankful because my dad talks and listens to me. He shows a genuine interest in my life and is not afraid to show it.

My Dad sometimes calls, too, and emails a lot. It makes you feel good.

My dad does that too. I am thankful for my father - he is a good, honest, wonderful man. We are blessed to have such men in our lives.
