Happy Thankful Thursday~
First, I'd like to thank everyone for the special comments they left regarding last Thursday's post. I really didn't mean for the post to be so much about me but I am grateful for all the sweet words people left.
Here are some things I am thankful for today...
- The anonymous basket of flowers sent to me for Easter (pictured above)
- A talk with Grandma on Monday
- A talk with Dad today
- Frequent talks with Mom
- Lindy didn't need a trip to the ER for stitches after a coloring accident yesterday. Yes, I said coloring. I am a bonified stress case when it comes to watching kids climb up and down on things, especially chairs and booths. I imagine the worst--head, teeth, nose...Therefore, I ALWAYS strap Lindy down for every meal and any activity at the table. She was strapped into her booster seat to color and pushed back and sent the chair the booster was attached to flying backwards on the ground. She gashed the back of her head on one of the chair spindles but after an over the phone consult with the nurse, my assessment of the damage, and a second opinion from Dad, we didn't think stitches were necessary. Who knew coloring was so dangerous???
- Don is feeling better after being sick enough to take a sick day last week (his first since January 2000) and no one else seems to have gotten it--we hope and pray...
- Friends who proactively pray for me
- A zillion other things...
What are you thankful for today?

Beautiful flowers! What a special thing to receive. Glad Lindy is alright after the coloring mishap, and that Don is better.
Love,
Jaime
oh lisa...i hope you don't give up on crafts all together now :) what a scare for miss lindy, too. i always get nervous around climbing hazards, also, but it does seem to be random things that kids get hurt on.
sorry don was sick enough to need a sick day, but hope he's on the mend and you ladies continue to stay healthy!

Whew! I am so glad Lindy is okay, how scary! Those are the parenting moments that we all want to avoid.
Those flowers are beautiful, but I must say I can't think of a more deserving lady to be blessed with such a surprise. Your heart must have soared receiving those:)
Hoping Don is feeling better - and ummm, hopefully he is keeping the germs to himself!
Happy Thursday,
Love,
Heather
How nice to recieve flowers anonymously! You deserve it more than anyone.
Glad Lindy is okay - Summer did that once with the chair and strapped down booster seat. Her's was because she decided to throw a fit and flew the chair back into the wall. Broke all the spindles out of it. Thankfully no injuries. I'm so glad Lindy didn't need stitches.
Also, I'm thankful Don is better. Stay healthy!

I am so glad to hear that Lindy is ok. It seems like no matter how safe you try to be, something bizarre happens.
Eli has had to have stitches twice and he's only 3.
Pretty flowers! Glad to hear Lindy is okay and your Hubby is feeling better. Have a wonderful weekend!
Karen
oh I am so glad to hear Lindy is ok. Caitlyn got a major booboo in Target of all places, yesterday and I too am thankful it wasn't any worse.
Love your post.

I'm glad Lindy is okay. That would have really scared me too! Hopefully you and Lindy stay healthy. And the flowers are beautiful...you deserve them.
I'm glad Lindy is o.k. - what would we do without Nurse Diane? :)
anonymous flowers? how exciting! I guess Don would have let you know if they were from him - most husbands wouldn't let something like that go unnoticed...
So glad that Lindy is okay. How scary to see her tumbling backwards! Hopefully your hubby is feeling better and you can all have a great weekend together.
Oh No! Poor Lindy...that must have been scary! Glad to hear she is well.
What beautiful flowers and such a treat to get! Flowers always make me smile. :o)
Hoping you have a great weekend!
Blessings,
Jenn
Oh bother...I did it again!! The last post was from me...Jenn...NOT Lexie. :o)
Thoughtful, insightful list as always Lisa. The flowers are indeed beautiful and so appropriate for this season of newness.
I am so glad Lindy did not require a trip to the hospital! It is so crazy how quickly a seemingly safe activity turns sour. It is so scary for kids and moms too!
I am glad Don is feeling better. I hope you and Lindy are still healthy!OPen those windows and let the germs out! :-)
Happy weekend to you!
I am the same as you as far as strapping the kiddies down and we had a similar incident a while ago, although we didn't see blood! Poor Lindy, poor mommy! Hope Don is feeling better!
Hi!
Oh, I am so sorry about the coloring accident. I know how scarey that is... Ruby went the other way on her chair, but the damage was only to a fingernail... No blood involved..... I am so glad to hear that she is OK! Blessings to you my friend!
Love,
Diana
Lisa- I read your post before this one and was in absolute tears by the end. What an amazing ordeal you went through. Thank you so so much for sharing your story- it truly blessed me. I couldn't get it out of my head the day I read it. Wow. I love your "thankful" posts because it reminds me that I have so much to be thankful for, as well.
Today, I am thankful for my precious children and the lessons they are teaching me.
Sorry to hear about Lindy's accident- that'll be a good one to tell her when she's all grown up!
Love, Erin
I always love your TT posts. They are inspirational.
